Day 30
Today, at about 12:45, a call came from Grandma and Grandpa that the circus train was coming through our city. The next 2 hours were spent with us in our car chasing it down. We saw the last half of the train, but never could catch the whole thing. You were a little disappointed, but you were also excited about all the other trains we got to see on our quest. I love our freedom right now to do whatever we want when we want. I wonder what the school office would think if I pulled you out to go chase down a circus train.

Jenny, I hope you DO pull him out of school to chase down a special train. You are among the coolest parents ever!
Jenny, both of us sat here reading this wonderful log, our eyes filled with tears and our hearts filled with joy. You are an incredible mom (and John a dad) and we are extremely proud of you and your love for your boys. He will do just fine in kindergarten because of what you two have given him thus far. We love you all.
Jenny, i am in tears! I am so glad you posted this on CM. I remember Connor’s first day of kindergarten last year. I would give my right arm to have done something like this. You have inspired me to do this for my dd when she starts. What a beautiful way to remember these precious memories.
Tears and crazy emotions over here too! I felt this way taking my man to K a couple weeks ago.
Here I am a full two years from sending my oldest girl to kindergarten and I’m already anxious; wishing I could put time in a bottle. Thank you for inviting us into this touching experience. It is a precious nudge to cherish each and every moment that life bestows.
